Precision Cells' FUV neutral density solid-state filter series tests photometric accuracy AND stray light performance in both the UV and VIS ranges.
All Precision Cells calibration standards are NIST traceable and NIST performance-compliant. Performance of all Precision Cells reference calibration standards, including but not limited to this standard, meet or exceed NIST requirements.

Unless recalibrations on a periodic basis are required by QA procedures of a customer's organization, all Precision Cells solid-state calibration standards do not need to be recalibrated due to material aging.

  • Wavelength range: 200-700nm. Standard peaks included on certificate of calibration are 250, 280, 340, 360, 400, 465, 500, 546.1, 590 and 635nm. Precision Cells can provide alternate peaks in the 200-700nm range upon request.

Our company uses FUV-0.5 for the performance check of UV Spectrometers, because FUV-0.5 is very easy to handle, and no re-calibration is needed.

This is the first time our company has purchased and used a solid-state calibration standard for our instruments. The procedure is straight forward, works perfectly as expected and is a lot easier than using liquid standards. The best part about using this solid-state calibration standard is that we no longer have to worry about an expiration date for our calibration standard. Currently, we only need verification at one wavelength, but this standard will continue to be useful in the case that we expand the scoop of our procedures.
